After ten years as a journalist raising awareness of mental health issues, Amy completed a Diploma in Counselling, backing up a lifetime of front-line experience with an internationally-recognised qualification that enables her to work with people one-on-one.

During her one-on-one sessions, Amy’s unique style of Holistic Counselling focuses on storytelling and self-expression as a pathway to relief; working with women to find the words to describe their experience and emotions, discover a new perspective, shed old labels and self-belief systems and, at it’s heart, find a way to own their past - rather than allowing it to own them.

In addition to a wide range of issues, Amy supports women transitioning life stages, testing circumstances and emotional challenges, whilst attempting to juggle their own expectations and societal pressures. With experience in disordered eating, infertility, postnatal depression, loss and terminal illness, Amy incorporates therapeutic tools such as memorialising and meaning-making to help women to make peace with old memories, actions and interactions and even use their experiences to help other people in a similar situation.

I leave your sessions feeling excited about life - something I haven’t felt in a long time. So, thank you!
